Steps To A New Life

Step One – Acknowledge your past. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). You need to confess your sin (confess means to “agree with God”) and you need to repent (repent means to be sorry and to desire to turn around).

Step Two – Invite Jesus into your heart. “To all who receive Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). You can be “born again.” Just ask Jesus to be your Savior.

Step Three – Trust God’s promise of forgiveness. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (I John 1:9). Stand on the promises of the Bible. God cannot lie. If He says your past is forgiven … IT IS!

Step Four – Openly express your new relationship in the Lord. “Whosoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven” (Matthew 10:32). Tell others what Christ has done in your heart and life.

Step Five – Grow by reading God’s Word and attending a Bible-believing church. “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow” (I Peter 2:2).

Turnpike Wesleyan exists to honor God by making more disciples for Jesus Christ. We endeavor to do this by connecting through worship, growing through Life groups and serving in community & ministry projects.
