High Octane

High Octane (Obeying Christ Through Any Necessary Extreme) is a Youth Group for 7th graders through age 19 (leaders: Jim and Kathe, Joel and Rachel Cutter and Pastor Norm Mesel). This Life group meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00 – 8:00 in the downstairs church Fellowship hall. Special events such as the canoe trip, bike hike, mountain climb and service projects come on different days. We provide a laid-back refuge; time to be together, have fun and learn about each other. During devotion time, we discuss openly topics and questions that the teens ask for and see what the Bible says about each! Recent topics requested have included spiritual warfare, fear and prayer. We are currently looking at temperament types and the two sides of love, and some upcoming topics are friendship, knowing God’s will, humor, and who knows what? For the most part we spend about an hour and a quarter in various youth activities and games and have 45 minutes or so for our spiritual devotion and discussion time.

Turnpike Wesleyan exists to honor God by making more disciples for Jesus Christ. We endeavor to do this by connecting through worship, growing through Life groups and serving in community & ministry projects.
