Growing in Grace

This is a Sunday morning Life Group led by Pastor Judy Pribis. This Life Group is doing an in-depth study of the Gospel of Matthew.

How to Forgive

Our Sunday morning Growing in Grace Life Group will be starting a new study in September (starting date to be announced). We will be studying June Hunt’s book How to Forgive. . . When You Don’t Feel Like It. In this book, Hunt leads us on an intense study of how to forgive those who have wronged us or hurt us. The natural response to being wronged or hurt is to retaliate or strike back. Rather than forgive, we tend to hold on to the hurt and the pain, cling to our resentment, and allow that pain and resentment to turn into deep-seated bitterness.

Hunt walks us through the process of forgiveness and helps us find healing and wholeness. This is a great study for those who have been deeply hurt and are still struggling with the pain of that hurt or are having a hard time forgiving.

This study would also be very helpful for those who want to learn more about forgiveness, so they can more effectively help and counsel others.

(Note: Anybody can attend this study, but I will need to know how many books to order. Anybody interested in this study needs to let me know soon to allow time to order and receive the books.)

Turnpike Wesleyan exists to honor God by making more disciples for Jesus Christ. We endeavor to do this by connecting through worship, growing through Life groups and serving in community & ministry projects.
